Adam Jansson

Since starting in powerlifting in 2017, Adam Jansson has built his coaching around one idea: the better you understand your training, the further it can take you.

From the very start of my career I've had the chance to work with several of the best coaches in the sport. I experimented with each of their styles, learned something from every one of them, and have never stopped learning since. That foundation took me to Open Worlds representing Team Canada, and it's the same foundation I've used to help more than 10 athletes break into the international scene. Most notably, Eva Seaman broke a combined 5 world records at the 2026 Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships.

My programming is deeply data driven. When training is tracked thoroughly, hard stretches become much easier to work through because we have clear metrics on what isn't working, and we don't cycle back into the same issues. When things are going well, that same tracking gives us more flexibility. We can keep variety in your programming and still get results, because we know exactly which parameters are working for you.

Data doesn't mean dull. I place strong value on programming that is fun, with new goals to chase along the way so you stay excited and invested in the process.

I work best with highly ambitious athletes chasing the national and international stage. If that's you, know that I take deep pride in my lifters and invest fully in every one of them.

Nick Manders

With over a decade of practice in the sport as an athlete and as a coach, Nick Manders has the knowledge and experience to guide you through becoming the best version of your athletic self.

Self-coached throughout my career, I have always been tenacious in finding creative solutions to push the needle forward. Constantly inquisitive for knowledge, I would research as much as he could on my own while also experimenting with different training methodologies with both myself and my peers who trusted me with their training. Most of high school was spent in this cycle of learning and applying until I had built a small team of friends who would go on to break multiple provincial records and national records before graduating.

10 years later that passion burns brighter than ever. That small high school group has transformed into an international team of athletes with range of experience and competitive attitudes.

I've has brought myself and others to the World Stage, competing at the highest level and finding success through a deep understanding and involvement with every aspect of the sport. In doing so I've found another passion that matches the one I have for powerlifting, and that is a passion for people.

My process is communicative and my philosophy holistic. I want to create training that not only builds you as an athlete, but as an individual in all facets of life. Designing an individualized plan for each athlete that suits their life, empowers them to succeed, and helping them navigate all that that entails.

Join the team, recruit my wisdom, and let me be a part of your journey.

Malhar Patil

Malhar started powerlifting in 2014 and quickly realized his passion for coaching. Malhar Patil has one main coaching philosophy: Sport is a vehicle for becoming. The larger job of a coach is helping athletes develop into capable, confident people. The goal is not simply to produce results; it is to create an environment and an individual that makes these results possible.

From the beginning of my career, I have worked with various types of coaches with vast ideologies. I did this on purpose out of sheer curiosity about the sport. I wanted to learn everything from everyone I respected so I could spread this knowledge across the world.

My journey has not been easy. I was never gifted at this sport, and I never really understood what "potential" meant because, from the outside looking in, I probably had none. I decided that every coach I learned from would shape my goals and my sheer tenacity would take me where I wanted to be, and as you know me now, I have met those dreams: I got myself to Open Worlds.

Representing the country at the highest level of this sport has been a personal dream of mine, but there is no other feeling like seeing the athlete you pour your hard work into on the highest stage. I have taken numerous athletes to their dreams, and a few stick out to me. Jordan Smith is a longstanding athlete of mine who struggled for a little over six years to get to Nationals. Within one year of coaching with me, I was able to take Jordan to this goal, and now we are in a position to potentially fight for a Worlds spot. Another athlete of mine, Logan Heffron, was always at the top of his game and needed to get to that "elite" spot after years of grinding. Working together, I was able to guide Logan to do just that. He had been to Worlds once, with a performance he was not happy with, so our goal was set: he wanted to become the best Canadian junior of all time. We did just that. He placed 3rd at Junior Worlds 2025 and now sits at the top of the Canadian junior rankings.

Through powerlifting, I want athletes to understand the gifts that come with the sport. I want everyone to enjoy the process, take the fruits it has to give, and run with them. I want all my athletes to be great and be proud of the work they put in every single day, and, from these efforts, to relate them to life and strive to become the best individuals they can be.

I am confident I can get you to your best potential, but while doing that, I hope you fall in love with the fruits of this sport like I have.
